Week Six is Walkabout week!

There’s still time to sign-up online and visit a taught session delivered by a Faculty colleague for a no-strings-attached observation this week. This offer is open to all academic, administrative and technical staff within the Faculty. Walkabout Week is a new annual event intended to sustain and develop conversations around teaching.

Recommend a colleague for an award

The 2019 LJMU Teaching and Learning Excellence Awards will be conferred during our Teaching and Learning Conference 12th-13th June 2019. The Faculty of Science did well last year, scooping the most LJMU awards (five). If you would like to recommend colleague(s) for awards for consideration by your School Management Team, please provide their name(s) here by Friday November 16th.

STAPES2019

The Science Teaching Annual Practice Exchange Series (STAPES) returns next week after enjoying 100% staff satisfaction in its inaugural year. If you have not already done so, please respond to the Outlook invite sent to academic and PLSU staff (Thurs 8th Nov 1030h-1430h) by 31st October so that catering can be arranged.

The LJMU annual survey schedule is here. The Faculty has 20 Nexus Pads available and these will be connected to EDUROAM from Friday Week 7. In an agreement with JMSU, you may complete this form by Friday 2nd November to book Course Reps to collect Nexus Pads from BS/321A. These would be brought to sessions in which you intend to run in-class module evaluation during Weeks 9 and 10, the course rep returning the pads within the hour.
