Panopto (video
recording of teaching) Using off site: see Canvas
(off site). Using on site: Panopto is available
via the JMU App Player. Since the instructional video (link
below) was filmed: ·
On an networked PC on campus you are now automatically
signed-in to Panopto: It make take a few moments but there is no need to
click ‘Sign in’. ·
Classrooms have wireless microphone and/or webcam present:
please report to Helpdesk if no audio recording facilities are present. ·
On some classroom PCs, there may now be a direct link from the
desktop. If you would prefer to
have a back-up USB microphone (below) the Associate
Dean (Education and Student Experience)
may be able to provide one on extended loan, subject to availability.
NB: This microphone
will connect only with Panopto and not with the PA system within the room:
Please contact AVA-Byrom for a
radio microphone. Many rooms now have in-built radio microphones that connect
to both Panopto and the PA. Capture PowerPoint If you enable this
feature then Panopto will harvest slide titles and contents for incorporation
into the final video. This can help students to navigate through your videos:
