PowerPoint controller handsets

The Associate Dean (Education) can provide a Logitech r400 Powerpoint controller (shown) and replacement batteries. The handset has five functions:

·         Start slideshow

·         Slide forward

·         Slide backward

·         Hide slide

·         Laser pointer

The dongle and handset will pair-up automatically on first use. If you wish to connect a new dongle to an existing handset, or vice versa, follow these steps:

Re-pairing a handset and dongle

1)   Find your operating system (e.g. Windows 10). If you don’t know this, right-click the ‘This PC’ icon on your desktop and select ‘properties’.

2)   Select the appropriate operating system and download the zipped file here:

      http://support.logitech.com/en_us/product/wireless-presenter-r400/downloads

3)   Double-click the file “presenter_connection_zipped.exe” and browse to a folder where you would like to save the unzipped software.

4)   Turn the presenter On and press the laser pointer to verify that the batteries have enough power.

5)   Turn the presenter Off and plug the USB mini receiver (dongle) into the computer's USB port.

6)   Start the Logitech® Presenter Connection software by double-clicking on the file “logitech_presenter_connection.exe” within the unzipped folder.

7)  Hold down the ‘slide forward’ and ‘slide backward keys’ (the two arrows) at the same time.

8)  While still holding both buttons down, turn the presenter On. Keep holding both buttons down for 3 - 5 seconds, then release them.

9)   Click OK to exit the software.

Your presenter should now be connected.

If for some reason this does not work, please try plugging the receiver into a different USB port and perform these steps 2 more times.
