Faculty LTA Funding The Faculty has a small amount of
funding to support attendance at Learning, Teaching and Assessment events.
Priority is given non-subject-specific events that could potentially benefit
the entire Faculty. As a minimum, you will be asked to draft a brief report
upon your return for upload to the Faculty LTA website. Please complete the
form here
and return to me for approval p.denton@ljmu.ac.uk. |

Changes to the Blackboard assignment tool (thanks to Chris Gilles) The old
Assignment Handler is gone and the new Blackboard Assignment Tool is different. Below are five crucial
points to note when setting up an Assignment Tool submission point for the
first time (and probably the second, third and fourth time as well), with
further information available via the link: 1. Automatically
generated feedback sheets are gone. If feedback sheets or grading grids are
important to you or your team, you need to rethink your approach. 2. When
setting up a typical individual student submission point leave the
‘Recipients’ setting at the bottom of the page set to 'All Students
Individually' (see below). 3. Due to
there being no automated grade release option you may elect to input/upload
all marks to the Grade Centre at the same time for all students. If this is
not possible then you must hide
the Assignment Tool column in the Grade Centre as well as stop the assignment’s grades
feeding into the Total Column (if you have one). 4. You don’t
need to setup multiple Assignment
Tools/submission points for multiple markers, simply setting up groups is now
enough to support multiple markers. 5. Finally,
if an assignment is anonymous you must turn
on anonymity in the control panel, not within assignment settings as
per the previous tool. |
