LTA updates

04/10/13

1) Printed NQF3/4 Class Lists (thanks to Neil Jones)

Colleagues who ordered printed colour copies of the NQF3/4 Class Lists can now collect these from their School Director’s PA (Emily, Denise or Louise).

2) Survey Outcomes

70 Staff responded to last month’s survey concerning proposals to move the LJMU referral exam period from August to July, and on a draft version of an institutional ‘student recording in lectures’ policy. The following results were obtained:

July referrals favoured = 54%, August referral favoured = 46%

Draft recording policy supported = 63%, Not supported = 37%

In both cases the outcomes of the survey, including free text comments, were forwarded to the Academic Registry for consideration alongside other views, including those from other Faculties. I understand that Academic Board has deferred any decision on moving August referrals for a year due to a lack of consensus. I expect a revised version of the recording policy will be made available shortly.

3) 2014 LJMU Funded Graduate Internships (thanks to Deborah Pownell)

The 2014 LJMU Funded Graduate Internships newsletter for employers (http://www.staff.ljmu.ac.uk/phcpdent/tempfeb2014.pdf) has been circulated to employer contacts known to the World of Work Careers Centre (WOWCC), in addition to the LJMU Alumni Association.

WOWCC will be uploading internships offers as they are received over the coming weeks. These will be subsequently marketing to the 2013 undergraduate programme graduates and further information will follow.
