3) Netop Vision6 Surf-Lock (thanks to
Harry Morton)
As we enter a period of ‘high-stakes’ assessment, a note/reminder that we have the Netop Vision6 Surf-Lock software installed in the 3rd floor IT labs. This permits staff to restrict PC use, e.g. to disable web surfing during online assessments. It can also be used to monitor all student PC screens simultaneously. Speak to Harry Morton (Rm 321a) H.J.Morton@ljmu.ac.uk for further information about its capabilities and limitations.
4) The Blackboard mobile learn app
(thanks to Chris Gilles/Alex Spiers)
Currently, around 65% (16,991) of LJMU students are using the Blackboard Mobile Learn app. Unfortunately however, not all tools in Blackboard are created equal, particularly when it comes to running effectively in the Mobile Learn app. Here is a list of all the tools\items in Blackboard that appear to run best in Blackboard Mobile Learn

o Journals (allow text, images, video posts)
o Discussion forums (allow text, images, video posts)
o Groups
o Mobile Tests
o Tasks
o Content items (text) & live links
o PDF files
o Dropbox access (students)
If you

let me know
